It’s been a long time, I know. I totally just zoned out of my blog for about 2 months. I have now decided to go from flower girl to finding nemo. I am under the sea! Tell me if you like.

Christmas is almost here!

Hey everyone, 16 days till christmas, yay! We finally got a new laptop, and it is so fast, I love it. So since it’s a season of giving, here’s what I did to help out. You can give it a try too!

You can do an angel child or grandparent, which is someone who will get no presents this year. You pick up a paper off a tree at Wal-Mart, the mall, and one of the banks, I think it’s Nebraska Western??? and it gives you a list of things they want and need. Kristen and I did a little girl named Jayna, and we got her a huge stuffed dog and a dress. It feels really good helping out.

It always makes me sad to think of all the people who get so little on Christmas, when I get so much. I am always so glad when there’s something I can do to make people happy.

About Me

Filed under: Uncategorized — hal7laurac at 6:09 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Ok, so here are 3 things about me

1. I love Gymnastics! It is the best sport in the world, in my p.o.v. This year, I am competing Level 5, about halfway to the olympics, YAY!!!! My goal is to go to 2012 London!!

2. School. It’s not my favorite, far from actually, but I do pretty well, actually really well. I get good grades.

3. Writing, it just happens to be one of my talents. I don’t use it all the time, but when I have to do a school assignment, it doesn’t take me that long to whip out a 5 page essay!

That is just some of the stuff about me, I also absolutely love CHRISTMAS! Snow goes right along with that. I love winter so much, I would move to Alaska for it. Have a good day!

November HAL

Filed under: Uncategorized — hal7laurac at 12:55 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Today at HAL, we did a ton of stuff. We talked about the different pressures that come with being gifted, and wrote our life story with the counselors.

I finally got my blog up and going and decorated (YAY) with Mr. Hokanson, thanks so much for making one for me already!

With Mrs. D, I did word puzzles called Silly Nilly’s, there were fun!

A very stong rose that has a sturdy stem has what?   Flower Power!!!

We also did a project where we had to build a bridge out of paper towels, and put starbursts on top. Sadly, the boys’ won, and the girls came in a close second, well not really, at all.

But I had fun today

Hey, you want to help out the world? Got to www.freerice.com, and for every question you get right, the organization donates 20 grains of rice to people in foreign countries who are starving. There are tons of different catagories, and levels to pick from. Give it a try, and help out the global community!

Sorry I couldn’t get this blog up and running faster, I had pneumonia when we made these! but now everything is working fine. Next month, the HAL group will be going to the Salvation Army in NP to help out with their big christmas give-away for needy kids. It’ll be a great oppurtunity to help out in the community. I’ve always wanted to do something like this, and I think it will be lots of fun. I had gymnastics last night, yay!!!! This year I am competing Level 5, and let me tell you, I’m starting to feel it. My back is starting to kill me somedays, and so are my legs. I’ll let everyone know how it goes this year! See ya later! Â
